Addison Murphy is the funny friend, the girl you grab a beer with—the girl voted most likely to start her own sweatshirt line. And now that one of her best guy friends is getting married, she’ll add “groomsman” to that list, too. She’ll get through this wedding if it’s the last thing she does. When Tucker Crawford returns to his small hometown, he expects to see the same old people, feel comfort in the same old things. This is a FUN story read as I call them because there is a lot of laughter, passion and just life. Tucker is a man who left his hometown to pursue his happiness, sadly being what he is (the successful lawyer) isn't what made him happy after-all. When he moves back home and run's into HER again, his buddy, the girl who is just 'one of the guys' there is no way that the attraction he is feeling is anything, after-all this has been his side-kick since childhood.
The fun in this story is that one of the guys from the group is getting married and want's Addie to be one of his 'groomsmen' which to surprise is not a surprise to Addie because she has always been labeled that. She may have been okay with it for many years but now grown up and a woman, I feel like she resents it a little, wanting to be seem...more. Especially from Tucker.
I loved seeing them teeter-totter around one another, never crossing that line. Even though clearly they both had more for one another than showing...is was SLOW-BURN for sure!!
