So when my two sisters invited me to ring in the new year in Ireland, I decided to throw all caution to the wind and go for it. I was going to let “saying yes” be my new resolution.

I have read Karina Halle books before & have been looking forward to this one SO MUCH!! Beware right now, this story will have you feeling ALL THE EMOTIONS!!
Valerie Stephens is a former bookworm turned into a quiet and well...normal adult. After her engagement is broken off and after COLE decides to kind of put her on the spot and give her an ultimatum...she grows a pair finally and well lets just say, she spend the night at a friends couch. But not all is lost when she takes a chance to go on a trip to Ireland for new years.
Umm SO Padraig is a Rugby Player, can we just take a moment here.............
Okay, so back to the story! I will forever feel Valerie with the whole bar scene, she took a shot and that shot was very sour. Also how they met! (mmhm!)
This story is SO MUCH EMOTION, I am warning you, you will NOT be prepared for this! My poor little cold heart sparked a flame. GAH! Val is a woman that may not have loved before but is learning what love really is. Padraig is a broken man, in so many ways and words, but is learning that there is more. New resolutions and new beginnings is what Val wanted, what she got was so much more in different forms. For instance NAN (hero's grandma) who I WANT TO BE WHEN I GROW UP! The wonderful sisters of Val & the damn birds! Haha I only say that because I am not sure how I would feel about being close to a horned owl, so the fact that Val got brave in a situation, i applaud her.
Like i said, i was not ready but was so happy to have gotten the chance to read this! WORTH THE WAIT!! I am rating this book a 5 PLUS & HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! It also made it on my TOP 2019 MUST READ list!
