BOOK REVIEW -> Down We'll Come, Baby by Carrie Aarons

N O W - A V A I L A B L E

Imogen

There is no way we can still love and cherish one and other.

When I married Theo Walsh, the rough, bearded townie who worked construction on my family’s summer house, I’d found my happily ever after.

That was before the fighting. Before the jealousy. Before the infertility.

We’ll be divorced long before death does us part.

But to secure my place in the family dynasty, there is just one more hoop I have to jump through. And I need him to do it.

Faking the marriage we once thrived in will gut me. Especially with the secret I’m carrying.

Theo

I would have sacrificed for her until the end of time.

My job. My home. My happiness.

I’d given it all up to marry her. That’s how much I loved Imogen Weston, the daughter to one of the world’s richest families.

From the day we met, I’d done nothing but try to live up to the man she expected to be with. And now, I was done.

Sure, I’d complete this one final ask of hers, even if it destroyed me.

But I’ve made her promise the one thing that might save me. She swore that after she got everything she ever wanted, she wouldn’t look back.

I made my wife vow to leave me forever.

"WE TRIED, BUT WE CAN'T. I'M SORRY. I'M SO SORRY."

"Hold my hand inside your hands, I need someone who understands. I need someone, someone who hears, for you, I've waited all these years."

R E V I E W

Okay, this is a new to me author & books! This being the first book I just read. And can i just say, I'm not crying, you're crying.

What an emotional roller-coaster ride I just went through, I legit read for 5 hours straight because I just, there is not way to not read this except continues! It has twist and turns that will want you to throw something, definitely KILL Imogen and at times slap Theo. Must mostly just want to do bad things to her family! I will warn you right now, it is a story that you have to give full 100% try because not everyone goes through or went through what Imogen and Theo did. There were time I myself said, no, no way am I reading any more. But sadly their story hits home (bulls eye) for me, therefore I understood why she was the way in the book. Took me a little over half way through, but power through and you will see.

Two people who fell in love on the first look. Who shared a passionate and steamy night ON the first night, a couple that loved the crap out of each other...now throw in infertility, family and money. You're left with two broken souls looking to find themselves when in reality they are looking to find a way back to each other.

This is a different twist of romance, jealousy, fighting...different because it just is not the traditional love story, there is a lot more LIFE and REALITY in this. Something that happens more often than not if we stop and think about it. I gave this 100% and I am glad I did, reading it straight through was the best I'd say because I got to feel EVERYTHING through out it. I was angry, hopeful and cried my eyes out, my poor little heart almost did make it.

The love Theo has for Imogen is immense and in the end, isn't that all that matters?

For a first time read, I absolutely applaud the author on her writing and story line. Even though it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it sure was a huge cup for me! I am giving this a high 5 and highly recommend reading. Give it a full chance and put yourself in the heroine's shoes just for a sec. Oh, and make sure to have tissues handy!

A LITTLE ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Author of romance novels such as Red Card and Privileged, Carrie Aarons writes books that are just as swoon-worthy as they are sarcastic. A former journalist, she prefers the stories she dreams up, and the yoga pant dress code, much better.

When she isn’t writing, Carrie is busy binging reality TV, having a love/hate relationship with cardio, and trying not to burn dinner. She lives in the suburbs of New Jersey with her husband, daughter and dog. [ AUTHOR'S WEBSITE ]
