I was so excited to learn that Lily & Bowen were getting a book, because in BOOK 1, they are mentioned and I was sooo curious about them. So not, my first read by this amazing author!
Lily and Bowen have known one another since high school, they were sweethearts, lovers, best friends...you name it, until a night took all that away, not just the night and incident but a lot more. Forward a decade and nothing changed, Bowen still turned the other way if he see's Lily and Lily tries to do the same, after all..when she woke up from her coma many years ago, he was the one that was gone and never came back.
My heart guys, my heart! After learning what had happened, I just can say that be ready for some tears because I hurt for the both of the,, for their love they used to have...and still have I hope. When Lily and Bowen get chosen to be the Best Man & Maid Of Honor for Keanon's wedding...things get a little tricky. Having to be around one another more, sets things off for the both of them. AND ONE NIGHT IN PARTICULAR, gah! The emotions, the pain...t'was beautiful! BUT will Lily get her answers finally, after 10 years?!
SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE is probably one of my favorite! Little bit of friends to lovers, suspense and a beautiful heartbreaking story! What was so beautiful about it is that Lily was so raw, open and not afraid to show her emotions, maybe she wasn't crazy upfront and that's okay, she was simply beautiful because her emotions hung around her like a necklace. I thought I was in love with Book 1 but I have to say that Book 2 win's it for me right now. Just the raw emotions in there, something I love. (Not that the first one wasn't anything close, hell it's right there with this!) I just loved Lily a little more!
I am rating this the highest of stars that I can give (I know it's only 5) but in my head it's 25 PLUS & HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book & the series thus far!! What is it about those Nash men. Little hint, this one: Firefighter/Barber & a Librarian! B O O M!
