Not my first read by the lovely author & I have been reading Emily Goodwin for many moons, so I am familiar with her writing style as well as her variety of writing genres. Boy to say I WAS SO EXCITED that another Dawson was coming, is an understatement. I have also read all three prior in the series!
Danielle and Logan's story is so..so...different. Because Danielle is 'just one of the guys' and Logan (at which in some points i wanted to smack across the head) is the man who won't cross the line, so he resists. *shaking head* Them two are so easy to read about, their demeanor towards one another relaxed and known. Easy conversations and lots of feelings and hidden secrets!! I love the feelings this brings out in me as well as the characters. Sadly, he would rather have Danielle as a friend than not at all!
This slow burn, friends-to-lovers story will have you hanging on to every page, waiting for that moment... *smirk* that moment we all need. Lot's of anticipation in this, drove me mad at times (in a good way of course) but I caught myself yelling at my kindle! One of my favorite scenes is where they get lost and the spider incident. I did not also need to know that fact!!

Danielle trying to find herself and Logan established but missing something! When the pretending starts to feel like not-pretending...it's the hardest to watch these two try and figure it out. Their connection is so strong that during the sexy scenes I was completely lost. One of the better steamy scenes!! All in all, I didn't know how much I just needed another Dawson and one of the twin's...this was perfect, different but better in it's own way!! The ending about killed me, prepare!
