N O W - A V A I L A B L E

THE MISTER

London, 2019. Life has been easy for Maxim Trevelyan. With his good looks, aristocratic connections, and money, he’s never had to work and he’s rarely slept alone. But all that changes when tragedy strikes and Maxim inherits his family’s noble title, wealth, and estates, and all the responsibility that entails. It’s a role he’s not prepared for and one that he struggles to face. But his biggest challenge is fighting his desire for an unexpected, enigmatic young woman who’s recently arrived in England, possessing little more than a dangerous and troublesome past.  Reticent, beautiful, and musically gifted, she’s an alluring mystery, and Maxim’s longing for her deepens into a passion that he’s never experienced and dares not name. Just who is Alessia Demachi? Can Maxim protect her from the malevolence that threatens her? And what will she do when she learns that he’s been hiding secrets of his own? From the heart of London through wild, rural Cornwall to the bleak, forbidding beauty of the Balkans, The Mister is a roller-coaster ride of danger and desire that leaves the reader breathless to the very last page.

"Look at me, I will her. I want to reach forward and tilt her chin up, but as if she reads my mind, she raises her head. Her eyes meet mine, and her tongue darts out, and nervously she licks her upper lip. My whole body tightens in a hot, heavy rush as desire hits me like a demolition ball."

She launches into her warm-up piece, "Le Coucou"; the keys move with ease and a smooth fluid action.

She has nothing. I have everything.

R E V I E W

Where do I beg? Perhaps from the beginning? Alright, EL James was my very first read (and I mean i NEVER read books for fun or even when I had to for school). After reading the Fifty Shades Trilogy I was hooked on ROMANCE. So needles to say I AM A HUGE EL JAMES FAN and she got me started on reading romance!

I was so nervous to start reading this because I wasn't sure what to expect. It was NOT anything like I expected or didn't. I keep having to remind myself that this is not part of the fifty shades, it's a whole new..everything...and WHICH IT IS!! You can very much tell this is a EL JAMES book because of the writing, some words and the style. I have nothing to base this off of except as a NEW read, so it was rather shocking to me. This is VERY from the 3rd person narrated and you get both POV's. Younger heroine, age 23, older hero but not by too much. Maxim is a man of many talents, aside form being Earl of Travethick..photographer, DJ and a composer, among other things.

Maxim is the very most eligible bachelor that you can think of. He is arrogant, cocky and sexy as sin. He is in a great deal of pain, a pain no one can understand unless have gone through it. A pain that diminishes his preservation of life. Basically he is leading with his dick instead of his head!! Is he an arsehole? Well, unconsciously, yes! Purposefully, no. He is a man after all.

Alessia, what can I say about her besides that she is a VERY SURPRISE! I didn't not except her to be what she is, The timid, shy, un-experienced and lost soul. It's not only because she is not well known with the world but also because of her background! (All I can say is that: I understand) that's all I'm saying about her...for now!

The story goes into something I rather not enjoy reading, Maxim is the deep statement of MAN-WHORE! Luckily it is in the gentleman like, way. But, still I mean I WAS NOT FREAKING READING for the few pages. Now having read it I am not as OFFENDED but sheeshh when I started reading I remember having to stop because I was not ready. They hero and heroine meet in the most uncompromising way, he first see's her in his dream (actually he saw the real live her, but he was sleeping) after that it was a blur until he runs into her half naked, in his flat. It's all mysterious and action from then on!

When a situation calls for the hero saving the damsel in distress, Maxim jumps right in! (Redeemed) still little shaky from the beginning but redeemed in my eyes. Alessia may be shy and un-known of the world but she can not hide her feelings for Maxim to herself any longer. (NO this is not fifty shades and so don't expect kinky fuckery!) although there is fuckery just not in the all the way kinky form! They spend a 'holiday' at his estate. Where he realizes Alessia does not know the real him, she see's him as a whole but not the background. When there is a disturbance back home, Maxim is left no choice but to go and handle the matter. Leaving Alessia behind. In danger. Alone. Does Maxim realize that too late?

This to me aside from some IRONIC words used to reference fifty shades in the book, is a very MODERN PRIDE & PREJUDICE feel...with a twist. The ending about killed me, that was a rush! While reading you're constantly anxious to what will happen next. It's exhilarating. Edgy. Romantic. Stimulating. It grows on you. Just...beautiful.

I am rating this a 5 PLUS PLUS & HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! It is definitely making the TOP 2019 MUST READ list!
